Artist Statement and Bio

My oil paintings are an attempt to capture the perturbed reality, and expose the underlying feelings, that materialize when viewing the world through a more emotional filter.  Debasing the filter of society, or tradition, with an emotional one tends to produce powerful perspectives; exaggerated light and flustered shapes.  I simply try to capture these perspectives, colors, and shapes whether they express the exultation of standing on a mountaintop or visions from the depths of depression.  Hopefully, people can see a little of themselves, and their own feeling, in my paintings.  And that this recognition allows us to share a sense of connection and satisfaction.
